do i use the day cream and the advanced ceramide capsules together, or instead of each other?

Together. They're different steps in the same routine, not substitutes. Your Ceramide Capsules are the treatment step you apply first to nourish skin; the Day Cream is the moisturizer you smooth on afterward to firm, hydrate, and lock everything in. how do i apply it so it absorbs without pilling?

Apply to clean skin as one of your first moisturizing steps, after your capsules have absorbed. Use a small amount and gently pat, then smooth it onto skin in an upward motion, letting it sink in before layering other products or makeup on top. Because it's an ultralight, fast-absorbing gel cream, a thin, evenly distributed layer absorbs best; using too much product, or applying over layers that haven't fully absorbed, is the most common cause of pilling.

does the day cream contain spf?

No. This Day Cream is a moisturizer without SPF, so it doesn't provide sun protection on its own. However, we do offer the same day cream, but with SPF15 as well.
